About Us
As the Ministry of Hospitality of St. Anne’s Church, we are honoured to represent the parish in welcoming and assisting our congregation in the Liturgical Celebration through our services of greeting them as they enter the Church, ushering parishioners, handing out leaflets when required for the celebration(s), and so on. Furthermore, we must be present and guide parishioners during larger events such as the Feast Day processions and other celebrations, functions and activities of the parish (organised by the parish or the Archdiocese, with the approval of the Parish Priest). We also assist the priests in maintaining order during liturgical celebrations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- We welcome, greet and usher parishioners as they enter the Church to participate in the Liturgical Celebration.
- We facilitate smooth proceedings of all Liturgical Celebrations.
- We assist in the Offertory collection and procession, and the orderly reception of Holy Communion.
- We direct any processions (where necessary).
- We ensure the orderly and efficient parking of vehicles, as well as the proper use of parking premises at each Mass we are assigned to.
- We administer a systematic flow of traffic from the parish entrance, as well as within the Church premises before and after each weekend Mass, on Parish Feast Day, Solemnities, Days of Obligation, and any other major event.
- We assist in any other event approved and organised by our parish or the Archdiocese.
Tasks & Practices
- Bi-monthly Ministry meetings (or via Zoom)
- Be present and guiding parishioners during all weekend Masses, Feast Day, and other celebrations/processions/functions/activities.
- Help in the spiritual growth by organising talks and conducting retreats.
- Assist, especially the needy and elderly, during Mass (when required).
All Wardens are assigned to a team for a specific Mass, and the Team Leaders of all five weekend Masses are as follows:–
- Adrian Lee – Saturday 4:30PM
- Criista – Sunday 7:30AM
- Aloysius Lee – Sunday 9:30AM
- Ronald Loh – Sunday 11:30AM
- Florevic – Sunday 4:30PM
